One of our machinists of 12 years was retiring so we brought all of the departments together to try to come up with a gift that we could all take part in. Our designers decided on a decorative bowling pin, then designed it in CAD. The Idea was that it would be a turned part with some CNC machined elements and a decorative stand. The brass stripes were pressed in between the aluminum then turned on a lathe by our machinists. A hole was cut out of the center for the Empire Group emblem that was machined separately. We cut and polished a mohogany base that then received a plaque.
